So as to enrich students’ extracurricular life, boost their oral English skills and provide a platform for theater lovers to showcase themselves, on the afternoon of 31st October, the Junior High Department in the west campus of Anqing Foreign Language School held the English Short Play Contest. Students from Grade 8 brought us twelve brilliant playlets.
Contestants’ short plays were magnificent. Thus, we were presented with exquisite performance by the top four gifted youth from the southern part of Yangtze river, a Cinderella fairy tale, the prince’s festive singing& dancing in addition to the funny& annoying master and his three apprentices from the Journey to the West. Evidently, the fantastic show consisted of costumes& stage property of antique beauty, enchanting plots as well as students’ playlets of fine resemblance.
Overall, our students’ remarkable performances won unanimous praise from school leaders and judges.
